Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tap Taparoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Echavarria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Echavarria is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Never Surrender Trailer Music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Echavarria closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Taparoo lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Echavarria tries a knee to the head but Taparoo blocks it.

Echavarria tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Taparoo just stands there and leans against the cage.

Taparoo has Echavarria pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Taparoo pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Echavarria tumbling to the mat - Taparoo dives into Echavarria's guard.
Echavarria working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Taparoo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Taparoo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Taparoo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Echavarria is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Echavarria has escaped and now he's on top!

Echavarria wants to control from the top but Taparoo keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Taparoo is breathing heavily.
Taparoo working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Echavarria has passed into half guard!
Echavarria is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Taparoo is just riding it out for now. Echavarria eventually gives up the hold.
Echavarria is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Taparoo!

Echavarria is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Taparoo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Echavarria but Echavarria pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Echavarria has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Taparoo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Echavarria counters with an outside leg kick.

Echavarria tries to land a knee to the head but Taparoo blocks with his arms.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Echavarria manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Echavarria has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Taparoo to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Echavarria is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Taparoo pulls down on the head and he's put Echavarria to sleep! This one is all over!
