The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roller fails with an attempt to clinch.
Roller stuffs the takedown attempt from appleseed . appleseed gets slowly back to his feet.
Nice takedown defense from Roller. No joy for appleseed on that attempt.
appleseed fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Roller sprawls well initially but appleseed persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
appleseed is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Roller defends it well.
appleseed is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Roller is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
