The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Hytten.
Hytten throws a low kick, looking for Proudstar's leg but Proudstar calmly moves out of range.
Proudstar throws a right and a left that both miss.

Proudstar clinches.
Proudstar takes an elbow to the forehead.

Proudstar manages to break the clinch.
Hytten connects with an inside leg kick.
Hytten lands a nice looking body shot.
Hytten misses with a low kick.
Hytten attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Proudstar fails with a takedown attempt.

Proudstar closes the distance and pushes Hytten back into the cage.

Proudstar is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hytten sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Proudstar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Proudstar tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hytten manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Proudstar shoots in looking for a takedown but Hytten manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Proudstar's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Proudstar shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hytten pinned against the cage. Hytten gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That kick from Hytten tenderised Proudstar's leg. Proudstar is trying to keep his angry face on.
Hytten has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Proudstar dives in for a single leg takedown but Hytten sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Proudstar is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Hytten to keep the fight standing.

Proudstar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hytten is looking to slow Proudstar down with leg kicks.

Proudstar is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Oh Proudstar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Proudstar tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hytten throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Proudstar moves out of range as Hytten strikes.
Hytten keeps the fight on the outside.
Kent Hytten seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Proudstar tries for a takedown but Hytten sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Hytten cracks Proudstar with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Proudstar tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Hytten pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Proudstar is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
