Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Typhoon Hurricane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Travis Knight has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Knight counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hurricane's guard now.

Hurricane tries to buck Knight off but Knight is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Knight sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Hurricane is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Knight has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Knight is keen to just control but Hurricane is a slippery customer.
The fighters are battling for position here. Hurricane manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Knight stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hurricane swivels though and keeps the full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hurricane has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Knight is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hurricane.

Knight wants to get up but he can't break Hurricane's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
