Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker's corner calls for a 1-2. Walker obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Salnik tries for a takedown but Walker sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Walker moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Walker connects with a single shot there.
Salnik shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Walker as he jumps to the side.

Salnik tries to score a power double leg takedown but Walker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Salnik somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dmitri Salnik. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Salnik steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Walker.

Salnik shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Walker is trying to defend but Salnik finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Salnik thows a huge punch but Walker dodges it nicely.

Walker regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Salnik.
Walker wants to get back to his feet but Salnik is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Salnik lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Salnik slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Salnik lands an elbow.

Salnik scores with a couple of short elbows.
Walker is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Salnik has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Salnik is working to tighten his grip on Walker's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Walker has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Salnik is really squeezing tight and eventually Walker passes out! Salnik breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

In his post fight interview, Dmitri Salnik started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
