Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rock Well!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Blake Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson shoots in for a double leg but Well sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jackson slips a jab from Well.
Jackson throws a head kick that half lands.

Jackson has Well up against the cage in a clinch.
Jackson wants to take the fight to the mat but Well manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Jackson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Well throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jackson throws a nice looking combination but Well bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jackson leaves Well with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Jackson tries to clinch up but Well circles away and keeps his distance.
Well tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jackson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Well tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jackson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Well looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jackson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Well throws a head kick that misses.
A low kick from Well is predictable there
and Jackson counters with a two punch combo.
Well displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jackson.
Rock Well has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Blake Jackson.
Well tries to clinch up.
Well shoots in but no luck this time.
Jackson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Well.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Well enables Jackson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Well manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Well is looking to stand up but Jackson isn't so interested in that idea.
Jackson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jackson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Jackson tries to stand but Well is controlling from the bottom.
Well wants to stand up but Jackson is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Well keeps moving.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Blake Jackson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Jackson shoots in but no luck this time.
Well shoots in but Jackson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jackson shoots in and drives through. Well sprawls well.
A jab from Jackson does it's job there.

Well rushes Jackson and presses him up against the cage.
Jackson blocks a body shot from Well.
Jackson tries to pull guard but Well forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Well is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Jackson is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jackson tries to pull guard but Well won't allow it.
Well jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jackson walks away with a smile on his face. Well gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Jackson clinches.
Jackson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Well can't break the clinch.

Jackson breaks from the clinch.
Well throws a right hand that Jackson ducks under and follows up with a left that Jackson also avoids with ease.
Jackson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Well fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jackson avoids it really well and circles away.
Well is breathing heavily.

Jackson has taken the fight to the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Blake Jackson dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Jackson fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Well misses with a hook to the body
and Jackson counters with a good, hard body kick but Well shrugs it off.
Well tries to clinch up.
Well looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jackson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jackson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Well defends it nicely.
A low kick from Well is predictable there
and Jackson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Well's knee momentarily.
Well keeps the fight on the outside.

Jackson closes the distance and pushes Well back into the cage.

Jackson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Well is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Well trying to control the position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Well moves into the clinch successfully.

Jackson pulls guard effortlessly.
Jackson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jackson keeping moving, preventing Well from controlling successfully.

Jackson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Well can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Jackson is looking to cinch up a triangle. Well throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Jackson's body to avoid the submission. Jackson has instead reached around Well's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Jackson arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Blake Jackson!
