Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aiko Fill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnold Mashine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Aiko Fill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Arnold Mashine!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fill closes the distance and clinches.
Mashine has Fill pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Fill manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Mashine goes for a takedown attempt but Fill pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Fill goes for a double leg but Mashine avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mashine continues to drive forward.
Fill prevents the takedown attempt.
Aiko Fill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arnold Mashine.

Fill has picked Mashine up - he's going for a ride! Fill dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Mashine gets full guard.
Fill slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Fill wants to control from the top but Mashine keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mashine wants to stand and escape but Fill is having none of it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mashine can do anything to dispel that myth.
Mashine can't keep his opponent in guard - Fill advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Mashine has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fill is working away from the top position though.
Mashine misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Fill is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Mashine is trying to get back to full guard.
Fill looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mashine is staying active underneath Fill, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Fill is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Fill is pressing down on Mashine's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mashine is holding on for now.
Mashine tries to kick Fill off but Fill keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Aiko Fill.

Mashine shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Fill avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Fill being controlled here, momentarily.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fill holds on and takes a little breather.

Mashine postures up.

Aiko Fill has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Fill fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mashine sprawls well initially but Fill persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Fill seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Fill is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Fill tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mashine knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Fill is trying to control. Mashine wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Fill is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mashine defends it well.
Fill is breathing heavily.

Mashine is refusing to be controlled, as Fill sits in half guard.
Mashine works his way to full guard. Good work.
Mashine is looking to stand up but Fill isn't so interested in that idea.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fill trying to control but Mashine is working from the bottom.
Mashine wants to stand and escape but Fill is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aiko Fill dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Mashine clinches.
Mashine is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Fill to keep the fight standing.
Mashine wants a takedown.
Fill prevents a takedown attempt there.
Aiko Fill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arnold Mashine.
Mashine has Fill pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Fill manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Fill pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Fill smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Fill gets a double leg takedown into Mashine's guard.
Fill throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mashine works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Mashine looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fill is one step ahead there.
Fill will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Fill's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Mashine pulls Fill in to control the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Mashine fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fill sprawls well initially but Mashine persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Mashine is looking to take a break and control but Fill is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Fill gets back to full guard.
Fill is looking to sweep but instead, Mashine has passed into half guard.
Mashine winds up and cracks Fill with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Aiko Fill overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Fill wants to get back to his feet.
Mashine is taking a breather. Fill says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Fill tries to kick Mashine off but Mashine keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Fill has his hands clasped together around Mashine's back. He's all about the action.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Fill is trying to stand back up but Mashine is controlling him
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Arnold Mashine wasn't active enough on the ground.
Mashine tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Fill defends well and Mashine ends up having to push Fill into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Mashine wants to break free but Fill has control.

Mashine works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Mashine advances to half guard.

Fill actively working from the bottom here.
Fill misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Mashine wants to take a breather but Fill is having none of it.
Fill pushes Mashine off looking to stand but Mashine dives back in and keeps control.
Mashine perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Arnold Mashine has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Fill rushes Mashine and presses him up against the cage.
Mashine jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fill walks away with a smile on his face. Mashine gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Mashine shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fill bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mashine's guard.
Mashine tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Fill trying to control the position from guard on top but Mashine is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Fill trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mashine controls Fill momentarily but Fill frees himself.
Mashine wants to stand but Fill is controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Arnold Mashine showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Fill's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



Fill closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Mashine quickly recovers to half guard.
Mashine is trying to stand back up but Fill is controlling him
Fill is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Mashine is looking to escape.
Fill seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mashine does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Mashine is trying to stand.
Fill controlling the action here.

Aiko Fill has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Fill clinches up against the cage.
Fill goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mashine prevents it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Mashine pulls guard successfully.

Mashine keeping moving, preventing Fill from controlling successfully.
Fill is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Mashine pulls Fill in to control the position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Fill looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Aiko Fill has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Fill misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Mashine shoots in and bounces Fill off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Mashine trying to control but Fill is working from the bottom.
Mashine controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Fill trying to keep a closed guard but Mashine is proving a slippery customer.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Mashine shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mashine was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Mashine moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
You can see the frustration on Fill's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Fill is trying to escape the position but Mashine is controlling the position.
Fill wants to control but Mashine postures up.
Mashine is looking to take a break and control but Fill is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A lull in the action here as Mashine stalls from top position.
Mashine's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Arnold Mashine hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Mashine misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Fill fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
Arnold Mashine comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Mashine has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
