The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Lima. Those never looked like landing.
Lima throws the left hand but Mcfadden avoids the punch easily.
Lima misses with a few strikes there.
Lima throws a series of punches but Mcfadden moves out of range.
Lima throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Mcfadden counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Mcfadden tries to pass to full mount but Lima defends it.

Mcfadden wants to work for an arm triangle but Lima is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Mcfadden wants to take a breather but Lima is having none of it.
Lima pushes Mcfadden off looking to stand but Mcfadden dives back in and keeps control.

Mcfadden decides to return to a standing position.
Junior Douglas Lima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A left and a right from Lima both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Johnie Mcfadden has been cut.
Lima's jab looks to have found its range, popping Mcfadden under the eye.

and Mcfadden counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Mcfadden.

Lima is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mcfadden can't fight it off and eventually Lima manages to take the fight to the floor. Mcfadden looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lima is looking to stand up but Mcfadden won't let him.

Lima stands up and waves to Mcfadden to follow him.

Mcfadden has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mcfadden there as he acknowledges the shot.
Junior Douglas Lima is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lima lands a hook that stumbles Mcfadden back into the cage. Lima follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Mcfadden to the canvas! Lima pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Mcfadden has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
