Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adam Ash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Clayton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clayton has chosen Lose Yourself as his entrance music. Adam Ash has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adam Ash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charles Clayton!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ash dives in and scores a takedown into Clayton's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Ash loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Clayton keeping full guard, as Ash tries to pass.

Ash wants to work for an arm triangle but Clayton is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Clayton has his foot on Ash's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ash works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Clayton has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ash can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Clayton is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ash is nestled in close to Clayton, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ash drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ash jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Ash is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Clayton misses with an uppercut.
Clayton shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A punch combination from Clayton misses.
A bone on bone clash there as Clayton blocks the leg kick.
Clayton has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Ash is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Ash's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Clayton connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ash scrambles back to his feet.
Clayton wants to clinch.
A clash of legs there as Ash blocks the low kick.
Ash keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Ash throws a shot from downtown. Clayton moves away and avoids it.
Clayton scores with a jab to the body.
Clayton circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ash pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Clayton back to the cage. Ash follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Clayton fails in his attempt to clinch.
Clayton looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Nice takedown defense from Ash. No joy for Clayton on that attempt.

Clayton fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Adam Ash has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charles Clayton.
Ash bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Clayton's head.

Clayton gets caught flat footed, as Ash shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Ash has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ash slips nicely into half guard.

Ash has gone for a leg lock! Clayton slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ash's guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ash connects with a nice short shot to Clayton's temple.

Ash lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Clayton! More strikes land and this one is all over! Ash jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
