The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaufmore stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Poulain.
Kaufmore lands with an overhand left.

It looks like Amelie Poulain has been cut.
Poulain lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Poulain connects with an inside leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kaufmore takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Good leg kick by Poulain there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kaufmore slips under a jab.
Poulain moves into range and connects with a jab.

It looks like Jeff Kaufmore has been cut.
Poulain dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kaufmore. That did some damage!
Amelie Poulain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Poulain, as that shot connected.

Poulain closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kaufmore's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Kaufmore working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Poulain doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Poulain manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Poulain keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kaufmore's head.
Kaufmore keeping moving, preventing Poulain from controlling successfully.
Poulain stands and throws Kaufmore's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Poulain advances to full mount.
