And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smiff shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Savage as he avoids it easily.
Smiff fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Smiff shoots in for a double leg but Savage sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Billy Savage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abednego Smiff.
Smiff shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Savage lands a left and a right that send Smiff crashing to the mat, dazed. Savage thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Smiff is rocked!
It looks like Abednego Smiff has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Savage misses the jab.
Smiff is still on wobbly legs! Can Savage finish him?
Smiff misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Savage.

Abednego Smiff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Savage misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Smiff seems to have recovered his senses.
Smiff misses with a low kick.
Billy Savage is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Smiff takes a swing at Savage's ribcage but misses.
Smiff scores with a takedown into Savage's guard.
Smiff trying to control but Savage is working from the bottom.
Smiff throws an elbow that misses. Savage uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Smiff's guard. Nice move by Savage!
Smiff not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Smiff working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Savage has passed into half guard!

Smiff is looking for a sweep. Savage is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Savage is thwarting Smiff's attempts to control the position.
Savage tries to stand and escape but Smiff is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smiff tries to roll over but Savage keeps him under control.
Savage will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Savage wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Savage stalling.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Billy Savage.
A jab from Smiff misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Smiff is defended easily by Savage.
Nice cross by Savage.
Smiff tries to score a power double leg takedown but Savage sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Smiff somewhat.
Smiff throws a right hand that misses
and Savage counters with a stiff right hand.
Savage tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Smiff was well out of range. Poor timing from Savage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Savage fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Smiff looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Savage stuffs the takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Billy Savage dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Abednego Smiff's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Savage scores with a body shot.
Smiff swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Smiff tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Savage counters with a crisp right hand that drops Smiff! Savage lets Smiff back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Smiff throws a head kick that misses.
Savage thows a body shot but no joy.
A looping hook to the body misses from Savage. Smiff does a little dance to reset his feet.
Savage comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Smiff misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Savage.

Savage with a nice cross.
Savage cracks Smiff with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Smiff falls to his knees and Savage doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Billy Savage!
