Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, David Berkowitz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mitka Boycheck!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Boycheck misses.
Berkowitz displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.


It looks like Mitka Boycheck has been cut.
Boycheck misses with a double jab.
Boycheck tries to clinch up.
Boycheck looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Boycheck has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Boycheck tries a head kick but it misses.
That kick from Berkowitz tenderised Boycheck's leg. Boycheck is trying to keep his angry face on.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Boycheck looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Berkowitz is fending him off so far but Boycheck persists. Nope, Berkowitz circles away and we're back to standing.
Boycheck pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Berkowitz throws a series of punches but Boycheck moves out of range.
Boycheck wants to slow Berkowitz down by chopping away at his legs.

Boycheck feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Berkowitz tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Berkowitz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Boycheck postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Boycheck throws a big right hand that misses.

Berkowitz has his feet on Boycheck's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Berkowitz misses with a series of wild punches.
Berkowitz smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Boycheck misses with the combination.
Berkowitz throws a sloppy head kick and Boycheck moves out of range easily.
Boycheck misses with a takedown
and Berkowitz counters with a body kick.
David Berkowitz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mitka Boycheck.
Berkowitz fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Boycheck looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Berkowitz throws a chopping leg kick but Boycheck manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Boycheck misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
David Berkowitz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Berkowitz lands with a shot to the body.
Boycheck looks winded!
Boycheck throws a lazy head kick
and Berkowitz counters with a right hand to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Berkowitz ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Berkowitz goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Berkowitz uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Berkowitz lands a big head kick that sends Boycheck tumbling to the mat! Berkowitz takes a step backwards and waves Boycheck back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Boycheck is rocked!
A head kick by Berkowitz - that's a beauty! Boycheck is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Berkowitz can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). David Berkowitz!
