Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vann Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mason has chosen Kavinsky - Nightcall as his entrance music. Alex Mason has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alex Mason!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mason ducks right into an uppercut from Knight.
Mason takes a jab right on the kisser.
Mason avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Knight has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Bushido Training Center in the buildup to the fight.
Knight wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Knight throws a series of strikes that have Mason backpedaling.
Knight pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Knight throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mason walks into a straight right hand from Knight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Good exchange - Knight coming out on top.
Knight swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Knight just misses with a punch to the body.
Knight throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Mason tries to bum rush Knight with a series of wild strikes but Knight uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Knight fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mason manages to avoid it.
Mason looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Knight bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mason's head backwards.
Mason fails with a takedown attempt.
Knight lands a right hook to the body.
A head kick by Knight misses
and Mason counters with a stiff right hand.
Knight misses with a head kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Knight tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Knight cracks Mason with an open hand slap.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Knight scores with a punch to the head.
Nice shot lands for Knight.

Mason is rocked!
Knight throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Mason crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Vann Knight!
Vann Knight decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
