Van Hall is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Nico Vega - Beast. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy Oosthuizen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ruud Van Hall!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oosthuizen cracks Van Hall with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.
Oosthuizen pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Oosthuizen misses with a body punch
letting Van Hall counter with a right hand.
Oosthuizen stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Van Hall.
Oosthuizen seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Oosthuizen lands with a good body shot.

Oosthuizen takes the fight into the clinch.
Oosthuizen misses with the head strike.
Oosthuizen tries a body shot but Van Hall blocks it.
Van Hall is trying to break free.
Oosthuizen swings wildly with an uppercut but Van Hall uses good head movement to avoid it.
Oosthuizen lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Van Hall backwards.
Oosthuizen throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Van Halls head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Oosthuizen misses with a hook to the ribs.

Oosthuizen lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Van Hall working hard to break the clinch.

Van Hall looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Van Hall moves out of range of the strikes.
Oosthuizen throws a jab when Van Hall was well out of range.

Oosthuizen throws a right and a left that both miss.

We've been informed that Van Hall has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Oosthuizen throws a shot from downtown. Van Hall moves away and avoids it.

Oosthuizen is looking to clinch.
Van Hall uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Oosthuizen.
Oosthuizen staying out of range there.
Oosthuizen throws a sloppy body shot
and Van Hall counters with a straight right hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Van Hall tries to keep at a distance but Oosthuizen has taken the fight into the clinch.

Oosthuizen tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Oosthuizen misses with the head strike.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Oosthuizen.
Oosthuizen goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Van Hall blocks a body shot from Oosthuizen.
Van Hall wants to get back to striking at distance but Oosthuizen won't allow it.

A short right hand to the side of the head by Oosthuizen.
Oosthuizen misses with the head strike.

Oosthuizen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Oosthuizen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Van Hall.
Oosthuizen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Oosthuizen misses with a jab to the body

and before Oosthuizen can reset, Van Hall rushes him with a swarm of punches, sending him crashing to the floor, in all sorts of trouble! Oosthuizen is trying to beat the count but we're up to 6 already and he's nowhere near. 7,8... he's up! He's going to continue!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Van Hall avoids a punch combination nicely.

Oosthuizen scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A left and a right from Oosthuizen both land. Nice combination.


It looks like Ruud Van Hall has been cut.

Oosthuizen tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Van Hall's elbow.

Oosthuizen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Oosthuizen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Van Hall avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Van Hall tries to land a leg kick but Oosthuizen saw it coming and moves away.
Oosthuizen looks to land a left hand but Van Hall moved out of range nicely.
Oosthuizen misses with a hook.
Van Hall keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Oosthuizen.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Oosthuizen swings wildly with an uppercut but Van Hall uses good head movement to avoid it.
Oosthuizen misses with a body punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Having scored a knockdown, Ruud Van Hall should take round 1, putting pressure on his opponene back strong in round 2.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Van Hall doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Oosthuizen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.


Oosthuizen is rocked!
Oosthuizen punishes Van Hall's body with a nice straight punch.
Oh Oosthuizen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Oosthuizen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Van Hall paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Van Hall swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Van Hall misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Van Hall avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Oosthuizen misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Van Hall counters with a big right hand that sends Oosthuizen crashing to the mat! He's very wobbly - can he beat the count?! 5,6,7,8... he's up! No, he's down again! 9,10! He's done! The referee calls an end to the bout - Van Hall takes it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Ruud Van Hall!
During a confident post fight interview, Ruud Van Hall thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
