The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
THE GIANT throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Alvez sees it coming and avoids it easily.
THE GIANT fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Alvez is out of range.
Alvez looks to land a right hand but THE GIANT moved out of range.
THE GIANT looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
THE GIANT shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Alvez pinned against the cage. Alvez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Alvez throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck THE GIANT on the side of the head.

It looks like Andre THE GIANT has been cut.
Alvez throws a nice inside leg kick.
Alvez misses with a looping right.
Alvez throws a series of punches but THE GIANT avoids them all with ease.
Alvez tries a head kick but it misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from THE GIANT.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre THE GIANT. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Alvez has eaten all the pies!
Alvez keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

THE GIANT gets caught flat footed, as Alvez shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
THE GIANT wants to sweep here but Alvez controlling him for the moment.
THE GIANT is breathing heavily.
THE GIANT not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Alvez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed THE GIANT's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Alvez moves nicely into side control.

Alvez has hold of THE GIANT's arm. He's looking for a kimura. THE GIANT seems comfortable defending it but Alvez has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! THE GIANT is real pain and he's forced to tap out! THE GIANT is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Alvez couldn't care less - he's delighted!
