PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Magnus Hammersmith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duncan MacGregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hammersmith comes to the ring accompanied by Thunderhorse. MacGregor has chosen Scotland the Brave as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Hammersmith throws a leg kick
letting MacGregor counter with a right hand.
Hammersmith swings and misses with a hook to the body.

MacGregor throws a quick inside leg kick.
Hammersmith throws a leg kick which misses MacGregor's front leg but catches the back leg as MacGregor tries to avoid it.

MacGregor lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
MacGregor loads up on a big right hand but Hammersmith slips the punch.
MacGregor blocks a head kick by Hammersmith.
Hammersmith cracks MacGregor with an open hand slap.
Hammersmith turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - MacGregor looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

MacGregor looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts MacGregor, as that shot connected.
Hammersmith scores with a sloppy right hand. MacGregor should have avoided that one.

MacGregor moves to clinch but Hammersmith breaks away
and Hammersmith counters with a straight right hand.
MacGregor takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Hammersmith fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. MacGregor looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
MacGregor needs to keep his hands up - Hammersmith had a free shot at his head there.
MacGregor looks to throw the jab but Hammersmith is out of range.

and Hammersmith takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Hammersmith lands a nice leg kick that just misses MacGregor's sensitive parts.
Hammersmith with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling MacGregor to score with a decent uppercut.
Hammersmith jabs MacGregor right on the nose. MacGregor blinks but takes it well.

Hammersmith and MacGregor are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Hammersmith throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking MacGregor into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Hammersmith knows it - he's on the ropes flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
