Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mercurius Faunus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emmet Von Braun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Faunus, as that shot connected.

Von Braun shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Faunus is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Von Braun working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Faunus's head.
Faunus knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Von Braun on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Faunus's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Von Braun with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Faunus to score with a decent uppercut.

Faunus throws a looping overhand right but Von Braun ducks down to avoid it.
Faunus connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Von Braun momentarily.
Faunus lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Faunus tries to clinch but Von Braun moves out of range.
Mercurius Faunus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

An inside leg kick lands from Faunus.
Von Braun changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Faunus tries to avoid it but Von Braun manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Faunus to the ground. Faunus escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Faunus keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
