Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Russell Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomasz Knapson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patterson comes to the cage accompanied by "Still Unbroken" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Knapson has chosen Till i collapse as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Tomasz Knapson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!

Knapson wants the takedown. Patterson is fighting it off but Knapson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Patterson's guard against the cage.
Knapson trying to control the position from guard on top but Patterson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Patterson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Knapson is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Knapson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Patterson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Knapson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Knapson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Patterson has picked Knapson up - he's going for a ride! Patterson dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Patterson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

A determined Russell Patterson didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
