PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Felix Pomfrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Voitto Tuska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pomfrey throws a looping overhand right but Tuska ducks down to avoid it.
Pomfrey throws a big shot that misses.
A big left from Pomfrey misses.
Pomfrey is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tuska.

Tuska drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Tuska trying to control the position from guard on top but Pomfrey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Tuska gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Tuska shoots for a double leg takedown but Pomfrey sprawls well. He's pushed Tuska's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Pomfrey throws a right and a left that both miss.
Pomfrey throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Pomfrey misses the jab.
Pomfrey uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Pomfrey misses with a series of wild punches.
Tuska fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Tuska takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Tuska fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pomfrey sprawls well initially but Tuska persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Tuska is looking to advance position but Pomfrey won't allow it.
Tuska is taking a breather. Pomfrey says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pomfrey wants to improve his position but Tuska is controlling well.
Tuska trying to control from half guard but Pomfrey is working away.
Tuska wants to pass to mount but Pomfrey is defending the position.

Pomfrey trying to hold on to Tuska's head to control him but Tuska postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Pomfrey works over Tuska's head and body with a nice combination.
Pomfrey moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Pomfrey throws a series of punches but Tuska avoids them all with ease.
Tuska shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pomfrey as he jumps to the side.
Felix Pomfrey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Voitto Tuska.
Tuska displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pomfrey throws out the jab.
Tuska closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pomfrey circles away.
Pomfrey lands a brutal head kick. Tuska looks out on his feet and Pomfrey throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
