McKenzie has closed the distance and engaged Valdez in a clinch.

McKenzie works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
McKenzie throws an elbow that misses. Valdez uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in McKenzie's guard. Nice move by Valdez!
