The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Scofield misses.
Koji Sobando seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Scofield closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sobando circles away.
A combination from Scofield does no damage.

Scofield tries to keep at a distance but Sobando has taken the fight into the clinch.

Scofield breaks the clinch.
Sobando misses with a few strikes there.
Scofield throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sobando's waist but Sobando gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Scofield off to one side.

Scofield closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sobando's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Sobando is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Sobando is looking for a triangle but Scofield pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
