Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jules Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcel Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcel Moore has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jules Norris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcel Moore!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moore is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Norris's half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Moore content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Norris might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Moore looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Norris is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Moore's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Moore's back!
Moore is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Norris has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Moore breaks Norris's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Moore has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Norris's face.

Moore blocks the strikes from Norris.
Norris tries to kick Moore off but Moore keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Moore must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Norris will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Norris is on top in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jules Norris wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Moore avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Moore moves in looking to clinch but Norris pushes him off.
Moore stuns Norris with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Norris has clasped his hands together around Moore's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Moore tries to buck Norris off but Norris is having none of it.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Moore throws a leg kick but Norris sees it coming and moves out of range.

Nice takedown defense from Moore. No joy for Norris on that attempt.

Moore throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Norris tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Moore is in Norris's guard.

Norris is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Marcel Moore.
Norris dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Moore. That did some damage!
Norris throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Moore's waist but Moore gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Norris off to one side.

Moore closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Moore lands in his opponent's guard.

Moore stands up and waves to Norris to follow him.
Moore feints and then cracks Norris's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Norris down.
Norris is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Moore.
Moore throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Moore fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Norris sprawls well initially but Moore persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Moore is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Moore tries to pass to full mount but Norris defends it.
Moore stops Norris from getting back to his feet.

Norris is not content to let Moore control the position.
Norris throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Moore slows the pace down in half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Moore is stalling here. Norris is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Moore seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Norris has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Moore tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Norris wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Norris takes a little break here. Moore wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Norris decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Moore shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Norris manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Marcel Moore has got the better of the ground game so far.
Norris is looking to stand back up but Moore counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Norris.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Moore prevents Norris from standing back up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Moore decides to stand and escape the position.
Moore tries to close the distance and clinch but Norris swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marcel Moore showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Norris looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Moore working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Moore is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Moore wants to pass the guard but Norris is keeping the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Marcel Moore was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Moore fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Norris has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Norris shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Moore but Moore pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Moore thuds a left hand into Norris's body.
Moore avoids the body shot from Norris.
Moore just misses with a punch to the body.

Moore feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Norris is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Moore is controlling him.

Norris doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Norris looking for a sweep. Not yet Norris, not yet.
Moore content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Norris wants to get back to his feet but Moore is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Moore drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Moore wants to control from the top but Norris keeps moving.
Moore wants to get up but he can't break Norris's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Moore stands up from Norris's guard - Moore perhaps looking for a knockout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Moore uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Norris.

Marcel Moore comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Moore has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
