The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez darts in looking for a takedown but Olivas gets double underhooks and turns Sanchez into the cage.

Olivas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Olivas fails with an attempt to clinch.
Olivas changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Sanchez manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Olivas on his heels. He'll look to pass Olivas's guard now, I'm sure.
Sanchez won't allow Olivas to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sanchez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sanchez in particular looking to stall.

Sanchez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Olivas for as long as he can get away with.
