Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andrzej Sternik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Obasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sternik comes to the cage accompanied by J Dash . John Obasi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Daniel Cesar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obasi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Obasi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sternik to the mat! Sternik manages to get full guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Sternik preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Sternik keeping moving, preventing Obasi from controlling successfully.
Sternik wants to stand and escape but Obasi is having none of it.
Obasi wants to control from the top but Sternik keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sternik is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Obasi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Obasi postures up in Sternik's guard and throws a big left but Sternik blocks it.

Sternik has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Obasi is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
We've been hearing reports that Sternik has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Obasi's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sternik connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Obasi scrambles back to his feet.

Obasi shoots in looking for a takedown but Sternik manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Obasi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
