The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva looks to land a left hand but Gracie moved out of range nicely.
Silva has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Silva throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gracie.
Nice defenses there by Gracie.
Silva throws a hook but Gracie avoids it easily.
Horrible takedown by Silva or perhaps it was just good defense by Gracie which made him look bad.
Silva misses with an uppercut
and Gracie decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard.
Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Silva's guard.
Gracie passes to side control.
Silva gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Gracie is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Silva is forced to tap! Great finish!

A relieved looking Ronaldo Gracie thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
