Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luca Luciano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter's entrance music is Empire State of Mind. A fine choice. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter clobbers Luciano with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Luciano darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Carter is looking to escape.
Luciano wants to control but Carter is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Luciano tries to pass the half guard into mount. Carter knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Luciano is working for a kimura but Carter is defending it quite comfortably.
Carter is trying to stand back up but Luciano is controlling him
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Luciano is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Carter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Carter loads up on a big right hand but Luciano slips the punch.

Luciano shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Carter's guard.

Luciano decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Carter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Luciano changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carter tries to avoid it but Luciano manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carter to the ground. Carter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Luciano bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Luciano throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carter's waist but Carter gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Luciano off to one side.
Carter misses with a takedown attempt - Luciano sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Luciano breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Carter connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Luciano feints and as Carter raises his hands in defense, Luciano changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Luciano would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Carter wants to stand and escape but Luciano is having none of it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Luciano connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Carter some visible discomfort.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

I would just about give that final round to Luca Luciano.
