PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mamed Magomedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mir comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Amazing - Kanie West kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Mir counters with an inside leg kick.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mir is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Magomedov has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Mir has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Magomedov taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Mir doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). The Mir!
The Mir decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
