Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ka Lima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roddy Piper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piper keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lima leaves Piper with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Piper closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lima is looking for a sweep. Piper is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Piper throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Piper is nestled in close to Lima, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Piper must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Piper postures up in Lima's guard and throws a big left but Lima blocks it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Piper might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lima haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Piper closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lima quickly recovers to half guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Piper lands a nice short elbow.
Lima is looking to control Piper's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lima avoid being mounted?
Lima is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Piper works his foot free and advances to mount.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Piper lands a nice shot to the head.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The referee warns Lima that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Piper connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Piper postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Lima in real trouble here! The ref calls for Lima to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roddy Piper!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Roddy Piper waved his t-shirt featuring Just Fight (Everything 7$)'s logo in front of the cameras.
