Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Daniel Reyes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lee Wang!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reyes tries to close the distance and clinch but Wang swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Wang blocks a head kick by Reyes.

Reyes fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wang, pushing him back against the cage.
Wang blocks an uppercut.
Wang tries to land a knee to the head but Reyes blocks with his arms.
Wang takes a shot to the head.
We've been hearing reports that Reyes has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Wang pushes off an throws an elbow but Reyes leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Reyes stalling in the clinch but Wang improves position.
Reyes misses with a hook to the ribs.
Wang blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Reyes lands with a light punch inside.

Wang manages to break the clinch.
Wang tries to close the distance and clinch but Reyes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Reyes pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Reyes misses with a looping right.
Wang looks for the body kick but Reyes saw that one coming.
Reyes has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Wang.

That's one minute gone in the round.
No joy there for Wang, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wang throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Reyes counters with a two punch combo.
Wang keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Reyes bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Wang has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Wang keeps the fight on the outside.
Wang throws a lazy head kick
and Reyes counters with a left and a right that stings Wang.


Wang is rocked!
Reyes lands a hook that stumbles Wang back into the cage. Reyes follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Wang to the canvas! Reyes pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Wang has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Daniel Reyes!
Daniel Reyes took some time post fight to say the following; 'i am too complete for this division'.
In defeat, Lee Wang stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'm very sorry! I'll be back stronger!'.
