The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
no Tabi swings for the body but Laruso moves out of range.

Despite being in the dominant position, Kino no Tabi just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Let's hope that no Tabi has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

no Tabi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Laruso 's waist but Laruso gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing no Tabi off to one side.

no Tabi does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

no Tabi tightens his grip and picks Laruso up, before dumping him to the ground. Laruso manages to land in guard.
Laruso will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Laruso can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as no Tabi controls the pace.
no Tabi scoring with some ground and pound.
no Tabi postures up and lands a big shot to Laruso 's brow.
no Tabi controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Laruso can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as no Tabi controls the pace.
no Tabi's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

no Tabi passes easily into side control. Nice work.

no Tabi has hold of Laruso 's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Laruso tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - no Tabi cranks the arm and Laruso screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Laruso , who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
