Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jaylen Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Weidman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Pastor Troy - I Want War. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weidman fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jones.
Jones fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Weidman on the side of the head.

and Weidman counters with a nice leg kick.
Jones swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Weidman.
Weidman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Jones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones seems a little lost for a moment, as Weidman dominates the positioning.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Let's hope that Weidman has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Jones takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jones, as that shot connected.
Jones takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Jones chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Weidman can pounce on him.
Jones takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Weidman counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Jones is lucky that one didn't land flush.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Weidman closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Weidman lands in his opponent's guard.

In his post fight interview, Chris Weidman started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
Jaylen Jones spoke after the fight, saying ' You know I have had a great career but this was my last fight. I appreciate you fans and enjoyed putting on a show for you. Thanks too Darius for the opportunity to fight for such a great org. Peace!'.
