Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ethan Vanguard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabio Almeida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Vanguard might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Survival-Eminem. Ethan Vanguard has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fabio Almeida!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanguard fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Almeida looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Almeida moves away from the strike by Vanguard.
Vanguard lands a lovely overhand right.
Horrible takedown by Vanguard or perhaps it was just good defense by Almeida which made him look bad.
Almeida throws a right hand that Vanguard ducks under and follows up with a left that Vanguard also avoids with ease.
Almeida looks winded!
Vanguard stuffs the takedown attempt from Almeida. Almeida gets slowly back to his feet.
No luck for Vanguard with that takedown attempt.
Almeida keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Vanguard changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Almeida tries to avoid it but Vanguard manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Almeida to the ground. Almeida escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Almeida dives in and grabs Vanguard's left leg, looking for a takedown. Vanguard pushes down on Almeida's head and hops out.
Vanguard throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Almeida was covering up waiting for the punch and Vanguard finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vanguard gets to his feet. Almeida looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
