PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nikolai Russki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Mcdunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Russki comes to the cage accompanied by BOOM. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Valeri Chadov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russki throws a head kick but Mcdunn moves out of range.

Russki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Russki drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Mcdunn tries to strike from the bottom.

Mcdunn isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Russki stacks Mcdunn on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Russki!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Russki connects with a nice short shot to Mcdunn's temple.

That's time! Russki's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Russki shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mcdunn but Mcdunn pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Russki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mcdunn tries to land a front kick but Russki steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Mcdunn bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Russki's head.
Russki misses with a takedown attempt - Mcdunn sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Mcdunn changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Russki fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Russki lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mcdunn has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mcdunn and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Russki, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
