Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Travis Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joaozinho Gurgel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reed comes into the arena with Bitkit - Explode blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Gurgel lands with a thumping leg kick.
Reed connects with a solid leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Reed fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gurgel manages to avoid it.
Gurgel lands with an uppercut that bounces Reed off the ropes and back into range.
Gurgel showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Reed.
Reed walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Gurgel throws a nice head kick!
Gurgel connects with the punch.

Reed is rocked!
Gurgel fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Reed has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
A nice inside leg kick there by Reed. That's going to slow Gurgel down.
Reed tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gurgel was well out of range. Poor timing from Reed.
Reed bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Gurgel avoids a kick to the body.

Reed fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gurgel manages to avoid it.
Gurgel dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Reed. That did some damage!
Reed scores with a jab to the body.
Gurgel moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Gurgel lands with a kick to the ribs.
Reed throws the left hand but Gurgel avoids the punch easily.
Gurgel's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Reed connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gurgel scrambles back to his feet.

It looks like Joaozinho Gurgel has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Reed misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Reed looks to land a body kick but Gurgel moved away.
Gurgel displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Reed throws out the jab.
A decent looking cross lands there for Gurgel.

Gurgel throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Gurgel lands a right hook to the body.

Gurgel uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Reed.
Reed has been working on his boxing with his coaches at EvolutioN MMA Acadamy & Gym ( 12 ELITE Coaches ) in the buildup to the fight.
Reed scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Reed throws a jab but it's blocked by Gurgel.
Gurgel keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Reed misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gurgel.
Gurgel lands a jab-cross combination.
Oh Reed is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Reed throws a shot from downtown. Gurgel moves away and avoids it.
Gurgel lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Reed seems to have got his legs back now.
Gurgel closes the distance and catches Reed with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Reed is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Reed is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Reed is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Gurgel takes it!

After winning the bout, Joaozinho Gurgel thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
