Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Keith Diaz!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fuzzy Khan!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Ron Honeybunn and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Khan clinches with his opponent.
Diaz tries for a takedown but Khan manages to get underhooks.

Diaz throws a punch but it's blocked by Khan.
Diaz blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Khan lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Khan throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Diaz blocks it with crossed arms.
Diaz can't get the takedown.
Khan lands an elbow inside.
Khan tries to work over Diaz's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Khan misses with a knee strike.
Diaz is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Khan is defending well.

Khan lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Diaz backwards.

It looks like Keith Diaz has been cut.
Khan creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Diaz's defenses.

We've been hearing that Diaz has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Diaz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Diaz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Khan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Diaz drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Khan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Diaz has Khan in his guard.
Diaz lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Khan!

Diaz goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Khan is on top in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Diaz has his foot on Khan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Khan works his way back into a safe position though.

Fuzzy Khan is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Keith Diaz.
I think Khan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
