Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aristos Ioannidis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asbolus Pholus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ioannidis comes into the arena with If I Can't - 50 Cent blaring out of the sound system. Aristos Ioannidis could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Asbolus Pholus's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ioannidis feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Pholus looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Ioannidis lands a couple of digs.

Pholus escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ioannidis gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Pholus looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pholus is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ioannidis defends well.
Ioannidis content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Pholus is trying to control the position but Ioannidis postures up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pholus wants to sweep here but Ioannidis controlling him for the moment.

Ioannidis has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Pholus to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Ioannidis is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Pholus pulls down on the head and he's put Ioannidis to sleep! This one is all over!
