Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Musashi Miyamoto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fujiyama Akagono!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Akagono closes the distance and clinches.
Akagono is looking to take this one to the mat.

Akagono pulls guard effortlessly.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Akagono working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Miyamoto doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Miyamoto manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Miyamoto loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Akagono wants to sweep but no luck.
Miyamoto missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Miyamoto trying to control but Akagono is working from the bottom.
Miyamoto has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Akagono is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Miyamoto is aware though and is defending well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Miyamoto missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Akagono has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the ropes to get back to his feet. Miyamoto has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the ropes.
Miyamoto jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Akagono walks away with a smile on his face. Miyamoto gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Miyamoto will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Miyamoto gets caught flat footed, as Akagono shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Miyamoto wants to stand up but Akagono is controlling him.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Akagono pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Miyamoto is keeping the position for now.
Miyamoto lands a good elbow from the bottom.
Akagono passes Miyamoto's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Akagono seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Miyamoto flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Akagono wants to work for an arm triangle but Miyamoto is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Miyamoto scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Akagono manages to mount him!
Akagono looking to control but Miyamoto is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Miyamoto is trying to stand.
Akagono lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Akagono throwing strikes here but Miyamoto is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Akagono wants to finish this one by submission but Miyamoto is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Akagono.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Akagono is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Miyamoto is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Miyamoto flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Akagono anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Miyamoto and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Akagono slips an arm under Miyamoto chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Akagono has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Akagono is squeezing on Miyamoto like an anaconda would it's prey. Miyamoto fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Fujiyama Akagono!
In defeat, Musashi Miyamoto stepped up to the mic, saying 'sorry :( he was better... I'll be back!'.
