Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanlon uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Griswold.
Hanlon steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Griswold.
Griswold looks to throw the jab but Hanlon is out of range.
A good leg kick by Griswold.
Griswold throws an overhand right that lands on Hanlon's shoulder, as Hanlon tries to avoid the shot.
Griswold looks to land a left hand but Hanlon moved out of range nicely.
Griswold throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hanlon stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A swing and a miss from Griswold.
Griswold fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
A jab from Griswold does it's job there.

It looks like Mark Hanlon has been cut.
Griswold dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hanlon. That did some damage!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Griswold. Hanlon shrugs it off though.
Hanlon is breathing heavily.
Griswold scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Griswold lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hanlon gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Griswold lands with an overhand left.

Mark Hanlon's cut is getting worse.
Griswold misses with a hook. Hanlon ducked under it nicely.
Griswold throws a jab when Hanlon was well out of range.
Hanlon has a takedown stuffed.
Griswold misses with an uppercut.
Griswold throws a right and a left that Hanlon avoids nicely.
Clark Griswold seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Griswold lands a jab to the nose.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oooooh!!! Griswold has knocked Hanlon down with a huge combo! Griswold steps away and waves a wobbly Hanlon back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Hanlon is rocked!
Griswold lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Hanlon out cold! Hanlon is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
