Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Melchizedek Halo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Yoson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Halo comes to the cage accompanied by God is Real - Todah & Melchizedek Order. Melchizedek Halo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Melchizedek Halo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Yoson!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Halo or perhaps it was just good defense by Yoson which made him look bad.
Halo shoots in looking for a takedown. Yoson tries to sprawl out of it but Halo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Yoson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Halo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Melchizedek Halo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Yoson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Halo to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Halo throws a big right hand that misses.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Halo passes Yoson's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Yoson tries to kick Halo off but Halo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Halo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Yoson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Halo works his way into side control.
Yoson is not content to let Halo control the position.
Halo landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Halo is putting a hurting on Yoson here, landing some big shots from side control.
Halo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Halo lands a few punches from side control.
Yoson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Halo is chipping away with strikes.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Check out the look on Halo's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Halo looks up at the clock and then as Yoson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Halo smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Halo has an Americana. Yoson didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Halo is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Halo hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Melchizedek Halo!
