PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Gunnells (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathin Horvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Horvin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bodies by Drowning Pool. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horvin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gunnells manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Horvin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Gunnells postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Horvin is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gunnells, into his guard.

Gunnells is looking for a triangle here but Horvin uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Horvin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gunnells, who protects the arm well.
Gunnells is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
