Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Durden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jakob Silfversberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Durden's entrance music is Pride . A fine choice. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyler Durden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jakob Silfversberg!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silfversberg feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Silfversberg throws an elbow that misses. Durden uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Silfversberg's guard. Nice move by Durden!

Silfversberg wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Tyler Durden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Durden.
Durden tries to close the distance and clinch but Silfversberg swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jakob Silfversberg dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Durden takes one to the chin there.
Silfversberg jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Durden connects with a solid leg kick.
Durden connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Durden is looking to land body kicks.

Durden thows a left - swing and a miss!

Durden paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

and Silfversberg counters with a takedown into side control.

Silfversberg swings around for an armbar but Durden sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Silfversberg's guard.

Durden gets to his feet. Silfversberg looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Durden throws a low kick, looking for Silfversberg's leg but Silfversberg calmly moves out of range.
Durden closes the distance but Silfversberg moves to the side

and Silfversberg decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Durden's guard.
Durden preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silfversberg is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Silfversberg chips away with some ground and pound.
Silfversberg is looking to work some ground and pound but Durden has wrist control.
Silfversberg working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Durden's head.

Silfversberg is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Durden is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Durden has escaped and now he's on top!
Durden wants to stand but Silfversberg has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Durden has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Silfversberg to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Durden is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Silfversberg pulls down on the head and he's put Durden to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jakob Silfversberg!
Jakob Silfversberg decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
