And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Juan Garza!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Garza!
Garza tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Castro avoids a punch combination nicely.

Garza clinches.

Castro jumps guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Garza tries to stand but Castro is controlling from the bottom.

Castro is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Castro has his foot on Garza's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Garza works his way back into a safe position though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Garza would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Castro has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Garza can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Garza decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Garza takes the fight into the clinch.

Castro ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Castro no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Garza won't allow Castro to get back to his feet.
Garza really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Castro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Castro manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Garza manages to get himself to full guard.
Garza tries to strike from the bottom.
Garza looking to hit a scissor sweep but Castro is one step ahead there.

Castro stands and steps away. Garza gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Garza moves into range and clinches up with Castro.
Garza tries to break free but Castro pushes him back against the cage.
Garza looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Castro is trying to pull guard but Garza turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Garza escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Garza displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Oh Castro is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Garza is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Garza shuts the power down on Castro. Lights out, game over! Garza is your winner.
