Hawkins comes to the cage accompanied by Disturbed - Down With The Sickness. Leslie Killingsworth has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Leslie Killingsworth!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Anthony Taglia and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawkins pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Killingsworth back to the cage. Hawkins follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Killingsworth will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hawkins throws a low kick but Killingsworth avoids it.
Killingsworth shoots for a double leg takedown but Hawkins sprawls well. He's pushed Killingsworth's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Killingsworth tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hawkins swivels and escapes.
Marc Hawkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leslie Killingsworth.
Hawkins lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Killingsworth circles away quickly and effectively.
Hawkins throws a series of punches but Killingsworth avoids them all with ease.

and Hawkins counters with a one-two to the body.


It looks like Leslie Killingsworth has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hawkins misses with an attempted mid kick.
Hawkins throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Killingsworth misses with a two punch combination.
Killingsworth is looking to clinch but Hawkins is avoiding it.
Killingsworth lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

and Hawkins counters with a single leg into guard. Killingsworth didn't expect that.

Hawkins would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Killingsworth is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hawkins is aware though and is defending well.
Hawkins wanted to stand there but Killingsworth had control of the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Killingsworth can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hawkins prevents Killingsworth from getting back to his feet.
Killingsworth has a closed guard, preventing Hawkins from standing up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Killingsworth thows a body shot but no joy.

Hawkins lands with an uppercut that bounces Killingsworth off the cage and back into range.
Hawkins moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Hawkins stalks Killingsworth and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Killingsworth's face. Killingsworth staggers backwards, shaken.

Hawkins drops Killingsworth with a beautiful combination! Killingsworth stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hawkins is looking for the KO!

Hawkins tries to bum rush Killingsworth with a series of wild strikes but Killingsworth uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Killingsworth is still on wobbly legs! Can Hawkins finish him?
Hawkins throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Killingsworth.
Killingsworth seems to have recovered his senses.
Hawkins throws a nice looking combination but Killingsworth bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hawkins scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Some bone on bone action there as Killingsworth checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Hawkins comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Hawkins throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Killingsworth stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Hawkins misses with a wild combination.
Hawkins throws a leg kick but Killingsworth moved away.
Hawkins lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Hawkins lands a nice hook to Killingsworth's body. Killingsworth takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Hawkins lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Killingsworth circles away quickly and effectively.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Leslie Killingsworth's cut.
That's time! Hawkins's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Hawkins throws a right hand that Killingsworth ducks under and follows up with a left that Killingsworth also avoids with ease.
Marc Hawkins is winning the standup battle so far.
Hawkins misses with a few strikes there.
Killingsworth is trying desperately to land a takedown but Hawkins is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Killingsworth.
Killingsworth lands a nice looking kick to the body. Hawkins takes a step back to recover.
Hawkins fails to land with a series of punches.
Hawkins bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Killingsworth's head backwards.

and Hawkins counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hawkins.
Hawkins is trying to break free.

Killingsworth breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Hawkins decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Killingsworth's guard.
Hawkins wants to stand but Killingsworth is controlling his posture from full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hawkins trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Hawkins has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Killingsworth to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Hawkins is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Killingsworth pulls down on the head and he's put Hawkins to sleep! This one is all over!
