Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Miklos Kovacs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zubayra Tukhugov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kovacs comes to the cage accompanied by highway to hell. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tukhugov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kovacs pinned against the cage. Kovacs gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kovacs doesn't manage to clinch there - Tukhugov circles away.
Tukhugov fails with the takedown and Kovacs counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kovacs works his way into full mount! Kovacs is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Tukhugov is surviving well by controlling Kovacs's body position as best he can. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kovacs avoids the attempt from Tukhugov to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kovacs lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Kovacs controlling from the full mount. Kovacs has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tukhugov's face.
Tukhugov is in all sorts of trouble here.
Kovacs lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Tukhugov wants to control but Kovacs is having none of it. Kovacs controlling his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kovacs with shots to the head and body - Tukhugov looks very uncomfortable down there. Tukhugov is looking to get to half guard. Kovacs punishing his opponent with strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kovacs scoring with strikes but Tukhugov is staying in there. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kovacs cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Tukhugov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kovacs. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kovacs with the ground and pound from mount. Kovacs is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Tukhugov is surviving well by controlling Kovacs's body position as best he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kovacs controlling the pace for now. Tukhugov takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Tukhugov looks winded! Kovacs content just to control the position here. Kovacs working away from the top, dropping strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kovacs controlling the position easily from mount. Kovacs landing strikes from the mount and Tukhugov is in trouble! Kovacs controlling from mount. Kovacs fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Tukhugov is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Kovacs locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Tukhugov is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Miklos Kovacs! After the fight, Miklos Kovacs was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
