He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Captain Spiced could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ian Watkins's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spiced takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Spiced looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Watkins is fending him off so far but Spiced persists. Nope, Watkins circles away and we're back to standing.
Spiced walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Spiced closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Spiced lands in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Spiced shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Watkins napping and manages to drive through into side control!
