Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Heniek Model (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Blackwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tom Blackwell is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Model looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Blackwell is fending him off so far but Model persists. Nope, Blackwell circles away and we're back to standing.
Blackwell shoots in and drives through. Model sprawls well.
Model tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Blackwell swivels and escapes.
Model closes the distance and clinches up with Blackwell, looking for a takedown. Model pushes Blackwell against the cage but Blackwell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Heniek Model. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Model dives in for a single leg takedown but Blackwell sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Blackwell is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Model can't fight it off and eventually Blackwell manages to take the fight to the floor. Model looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Model is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Blackwell is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Blackwell lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Model is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Blackwell pulls his head out easily.
Blackwell has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Blackwell thows a huge punch but Model dodges it nicely.

Model is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Blackwell's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Blackwell's back!

It looks like Tom Blackwell has been cut.

My spies in Beast farming inform me that Blackwell has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Model leaves Blackwell with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Blackwell tries for a takedown but Model sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Blackwell closes this distance looking for a takedown but Model circles away.
Heniek Model has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Blackwell.

Model shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Blackwell's guard.
Model stands up over Blackwell, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
