The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Matheus Silva and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Buffer with that takedown attempt.
Buffer shoots in looking for a takedown. Venancio tries to sprawl out of it but Buffer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Venancio manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Venancio gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Venancio has Buffer pressed against the cage, preventing Buffer from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Venancio is trying to drag Buffer to the mat but Buffer just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Venancio changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Buffer fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Buffer shoots in and gets a takedown into Venancio's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Venancio controls Buffer momentarily but Buffer frees himself.
Buffer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Buffer stands and throws Venancio's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Buffer stands up.
Venancio throws a head kick that misses.
Buffer tries to clinch up but Venancio circles away and keeps his distance.
Venancio doesn't manage to clinch there - Buffer circles away.

Buffer shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Buffer was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Venancio manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Venancio wants to improve his position but Buffer is controlling well.
Venancio pushes Buffer off looking to stand but Buffer dives back in and keeps control.
Buffer is stalling here. Venancio is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Buffer seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Venancio has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Buffer wants to control but Venancio postures up.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Buffer is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Venancio off and has taken his back!
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Venancio could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Buffer tries to get the hooks in deep but Venancio pushed the leg off.

Well, with Buffer on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Venancio is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Venancio controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Venancio is breathing heavily.

I really don't envy Venancio right now.
Buffer slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Buffer is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Venancio won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Buffer off his unconscious opponent!
