The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dickson has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Smith is on him like a limpet, forcing Dickson back against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dickson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Smith walks away with a smile on his face. Dickson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Smith goes for a double leg but Dickson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dickson continues to drive forward.

Smith fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dickson sprawls well initially but Smith persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Smith seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dickson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Smith can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
