PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sirius Son (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Pulanski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Son kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Jucifer's " Amplifier". Pulanski is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Sonic Empire. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pulanski misses with an uppercut.
Son throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Son throws a leg kick which misses Pulanski's front leg but catches the back leg as Pulanski tries to avoid it.
Son throws a low kick, looking for Pulanski's leg but Pulanski calmly moves out of range.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Son.

Son decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Son lands strikes from half guard.
Pulanski flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Son tries to pass the half guard into mount. Pulanski knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Pulanski is trying to get back to full guard.
Pulanski is doing well to control the position and prevent Son from advancing to side control.
Pulanski regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Son.
Son postures up in Pulanski's guard and throws a big left but Pulanski blocks it.

Son decides to stand up, so the ref orders Pulanski to his feet.

Son wants to slow Pulanski down by chopping away at his legs.
Son throws a front kick aimed at Pulanski's knee but Pulanski avoids it well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Son tries to clinch up but Pulanski circles away and keeps his distance.

Son fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pulanski sprawls well initially but Son persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pulanski can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sirius Son dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Pulanski chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Son can pounce on him.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Son lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Pulanski has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Pulanski and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
