Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chang Velez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Haywood Jablowme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haywood Jablowme has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Chang Velez's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chang Velez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Haywood Jablowme!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velez goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Jablowme shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Velez pushes Jablowme off looking to stand but Jablowme dives back in and keeps control.
Velez is trying to maintain the position but Jablowme is very close to passing his half guard.
Jablowme stops Velez from getting back to his feet.
Jablowme is looking to take a break and control but Velez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Velez wants to get back to full guard.
Jablowme seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Velez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jablowme is looking for a kimura here.
Velez is not content to let Jablowme control the position.

Velez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Jablowme with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Haywood Jablowme has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Jablowme throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Velez was covering up waiting for the punch and Jablowme finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Velez wants to get back to his feet but Jablowme is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Jablowme wants to control from the top but Velez keeps moving.

Jablowme is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Velez is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Jablowme won't allow Velez to get back to his feet.

Jablowme goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Velez has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Jablowme but great work by Velez.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Velez looking to secure an arm triangle but Jablowme defends it well.
Jablowme is in all sorts of trouble here.
Velez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jablowme gets back to half guard.
Jablowme trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Velez manages to pass to mount!
Jablowme bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Haywood Jablowme hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Jablowme scores with a takedown into Velez's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Jablowme closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jablowme lands in his opponent's guard.

Jablowme is fighting to break Velez's control of his arms but Velez is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Velez has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Haywood Jablowme hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Jablowme changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Velez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Haywood Jablowme has got the better of the ground game so far.

Jablowme stands up and beckons Velez to his feet.
Velez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jablowme but Jablowme pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jablowme has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jablowme there as he acknowledges the shot.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Velez is defended easily by Jablowme.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jablowme.
Jablowme has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Jablowme tries to control but Velez wriggling away.
Jablowme fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jablowme cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Velez is rocked!

Jablowme is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Velez can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Oh Velez is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jablowme pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.

Velez is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Velez is bucking up trying to escape but Jablowme cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Jablowme tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Jablowme with shots to the head and body - Velez looks very uncomfortable down there.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Jablowme! Velez is hurt baaadly! Jablowme is firing away with more strikes - Velez is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Haywood Jablowme!
